Automatic recall
Automatic Recall automatically redials the telephone number of the last outgoing call.If the number you are redialing is busy, Automatic Recall service will alert you with a special ring when your line and the line you redialed are both idle.
1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2. Dial the Automatic Recall access code, *69
3. If the line is idle, it will begin ringing immediately.
4. If the line is busy:
Listen for a voice announcement stating that the number is busy.
Hang up the receiver.
Automatic Recall service will try to redial the number for 15-45 minutes (actual length of time will vary by switch configuration).
You will hear a distinctive ringing pattern when both your line and the other line are available.
Lift the receiver and listen for ringing. If the number you are redialing is busy, you can cancel the Automatic Recall request.
1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2. Dial the Automatic Recall deactivation code, *89.
3. Listen for a voice announcement stating that the service has been deactivated.
4. Hang up the receiver.
Time management
This service lets you make better use of your time, since you can attend to other activities while Automatic Recall service "retries" busy lines.
